Letter To Alumnae

Summer 2018 Newsletter

This was quite Xi summer for the ladies of the Epsilon Nu Chapter…

Our summer started out with our Membership VP, Jamie, who represented the Epsilon Nu Chapter, headed out to the Workout at the University of Maryland. At the Workout, Jamie learned a bunch of new and helpful information to aid her during the recruitment periods. She had loads of fun, and met a bunch of amaXing sisters she can’t wait to see again.

As the fun of the beginning of summer died down, some of our sisters did some internships at some really awesome places…

  • Enterprise
  • Aetna
  • Homefield Credit Union
  • Columbus Wine and Spirits

One of our sisters, Taylor, traveled all the way to Bali, Indonesia for 4 weeks on the SLV Bali Mental Health Placement, where she taught English to kids, as well as worked with people in psychiatric facilities. She said it was one of the most memorable times in her life, and the chapter couldn’t be prouder of her achievements.

This fall semester, we are happy to hear we can take a new member class of 5 girls. COB parties will start Sept. 24th and end the 26th. We are SO extremely excited to welcome more fantastic women into Epsilon Nu.

At the start of a new school year, our Panhellenic hosts Philanthropy Week where every sorority hosts their own philanthropy event. Due to some complications, Philanthropy Week has been postponed, so we will sadly not be hosting our annual Football FrenXi this month. We are happy to announce, however, that later in the semester we will be introducing a new philanthropy event into our agenda… Puzzle Palooza! Our Philanthropy VP, Shayla, has been working very hard to sort out all the details. Can’t wait until its ready to go! This year, the amount of money our chapter has to donate to Autism Speaks annually has increased from $3,500 to $3,900, so we hope adding this fourth event will make it easier for us to reach our goal!
